This message is in regards to the numerous emails received at the web site regarding viruses.
Our computers are not infected nor are the emails originating from this web site. Someone, wether a member or associate has the virus on their computer. The virus has picked up all email addresses from their address book as well as from their received emailings and forwarded itself to these contacts. Also it is using the return email address of the CUPE web site as a ploy to lure you into opening the emails.
We do not under any circumstances email attachments unless you are expecting them. So if you receive an email attachment from us please do not open it unless you are expecting a file to be sent that was requested by you.
We would ask everyone to please update their antivirus software wether it be Norton , MacAfee, AVG or any of the others to the most recent definitions. They are usually updated on a weekly basis by the antivirus companies in order to try and keep on top of the virus programs circulating the web.
If you do not have an antivirus program you can get one free at http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php just click on the download free version link at the bottom of the page. Once you have downloaded the program and updated it if necessary run a complete scan of your hard drive and repair any infected files.
